Did you make it to CDC this year? If not you missed out!Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Rochester held the 2008 Charity Dance Challenge at the Blue Moon Ballroom on June 8th., and it was an exciting event as students and staff danced together. During the months spent preparing for CDC our students experienced many mental, physical, and emotional benefits inherent in dancing. And on the day of the event they also enjoyed the sense of accomplishment and exhilaration that comes from taking risks and overcoming challenges. That is why we encourage our students to participate in competitions and shows – nothing we can teach in the studio will replace the experience of the event. And for those who participated in the Charity Dance Challenge you helped to reduce the challenges faced every day by young people with limited physical mobility who may never experience the joy of dance first hand. So, on behalf of Fred Astaire Dance Studios, and the Variety Children’s Charity, we say thank you.
